Cuspide

Tempranillo

Wine Type: Red Wine

Country: Spain

Region: Castilla y Leon

Grapes: 100% Tempranillo

Tasting Notes: Tense red cherry color with violet hues. On the nose it is fruity, balsamic and spiced with plum, blackcurrant, licorice and chocolate hints. On the palate it is structured, fresh, rounded and silky.

James Suckling: “This has plenty of spicy, alluring fruit on the nose with a raspberry and red-plum core, as well as stony nuances. The palate is fleshy, crisp and juicy and really packed with fluffy tannin and sweet, ripe fruit. Drink now.”

International Wine Report: “The 2018 Cuspide Tempranillo opens to inviting aromas of blackberries, cherries, violets, spices, herbs and a touch of licorice all lifting from the glass. On the palate this is medium-plus bodied and nicely structured with polished tannins that frame the core of ripe black and red fruits. It shows notable length on the finish, as nuances of violets and licorice notes leave a lasting impression. This is drinking beautifully today and should also cellar nicely.”
