It instantly opens inviting aromatics of fresh dark cherries and red plums woven together with spices, herbs, fresh cut florals and underlying hints of leather all emerging from the glass. On the palate this is medium-plus bodied and well-structured with firm, yet nicely polished tannins and lovely acidity keeping it fresh and inviting. It continues to impress with its excellent overall balance as it heads into the long finish. While this is already quite appealing in its youth, it should also continue to drink beautifully over the course of the next five years.”
