Petit Chablis

Wine Type: White Wine

Country: France

Region: Chablis

Grapes: 100% Chardonnay

Tasting Notes: Ghostly pale with white gold highlights and a typical hint of green, this is a cool, fresh appealing Petit Chablis. Aromas of citrus and wet stones are followed by a fruity, tangy palate, with a subtle tang of salinity and apple skin freshness towards the finish.

About the Winery: Sylvain Mosnier is a highly respected, family-owned producer in Chablis. Since 1893 they have crafted a range of exceptional wines that are true to their region’s traditions and their vineyards’ character. They own 15 hectares of vines in several well-placed sites, including the Premier Cru Beauroy. Their vines are old by Chablis’ standards being on average over 65 years old and give classic, steely wines of great precision.

James Suckling: “A fresh, balanced and bright Petit Chablis showing aromas of sliced apples, warm herbs and a touch of stones. It’s medium-bodied with crisp acidity. Succulent and playful. Drink now.”
