Antonluca
Brunello di Montalcino DOCG
Wine Type: Red Wine
Country: Italy
Region: Toscana
Grapes: 100% Sangiovese Grosso
Tasting Notes: Bright ruby red with violet reflections. On the nose it is intense, fresh, fruity with typical variety of violet, cherry, and plum. On the palate there are soft tannins and good acidity. Gentle and soft with intense length.
Food Pairings: Meat, game and cheese.
James Suckling: “Aromas of spiced cherries and dried cranberries with red spices, orange peel and cedar. Medium-bodied with crunchy tannins that have a chalky texture. Juicy and vivid with a savory finish. Better from 2026.”
International Wine Report: “The 2019 Antonluca Brunello di Montalcino is a lovely showing which opens to aromatics of cherries and plums along with spices, licorice and sweet toasted nuances all coming together beautifully in the glass. On the palate this possesses medium body with wonderful overall balance and a gorgeous refined structure leading up to the lingering finish. Appealing now, yet shows the potential to age beautifully.”
