Wine Type: Red Wine
Grapes: 85% Sangiovese, 10% Merlot, 5% other red grapes
Tasting Notes: Purple-red color with good consistency and shine. On the nose it is very intense and characterized by fruity notes of cherry and plum enriched with spicy scents, especially black pepper. In the mouth it is decisive, enveloping with rather soft tannins in evidence.
Winemaking: The well-ripe grapes are harvested and vinified in red with maceration of the skins for approximately 8 days. Fermentation at a controlled temperature of 26-28℃. Frequent pumping over and delastage to have a strong dissolution of the anthocyanins leaving an intense and persistent fruit. Before bottling the wine rests for at least 5 months in small stainless steel tanks.
