Montgermont
Cremant de Bourgogne Brut NV
Wine Type: Sparkling Wine
Country: France
Region: Bourgogne
Grapes: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes: Made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir originating from more than 60 plots, this crémant benefited from a long on lees aging (30 months) and offers a shiny pale gold color with fine bubbles. The nose reveals fresh aromas of white peaches and fresh pear, as well as hints of hazelnuts and a touch of lemon. The mouth is elegant with well-balanced acidity and refined bubbles.
Food Pairings: Would be the perfect accompaniment to red meat or vegetable gratins.
James Suckling: “An intense nose of candied lemon, crisp pear and dried sage with just a hint of wildness makes this stand out in this sometimes boring category. But even this doesn’t prepare you for the excitement and energy on the surprisingly concentrated palate. Very long finish that’s dangerously fresh! A cuvée based on chardonnay and pinot noir. Drink now.”
