Fattoria Svetoni
Rosso di Montepulciano DOC
Wine Type: Red Wine
Country: Italy
Region: Toscana
Grapes: Mainly Sangiovese accompanied by traditional vines of the denomination.
Tasting Notes: Bright ruby red color with violet hues. Fragrant cherry notes and a well-defined fruit, supported by sweet and at the same time dynamic tannic structure.
Aging: Aged in oak barrels of various essence and capacity. Before being sold, it is refined in the bottle for at least one year.
Food Pairings: Pairs well with roasted meats, game, and aged cheeses.
James Suckling: “This has aromas of grilled porcini mushrooms, cherry stones, plums and licorice. Medium-bodied, juicy and savory, with medium tannins and a fresh finish. Drink now.”
Wine Enthusiast: “The sanguine, earthy nose is defined by aromas of top soil, blood orange, bing cherry and mixed herbs. All of those notes return on the palate, where bouncy acid expresses the energy stored in tightly wound tannins.”
