International Wine Report: “The 2019 Latoque Reserve begins with aromas of dark cherries and red berries, which come together with spices, chocolate, lavender, pepper and crushed stones that all take shape. On the palate this is medium bodied and structured with round tannins. It delivers flavors of red and dark fruits along with pepper and toasted spices that expand through the finish. A lovely red to approach now, or let evolve for another year or two in bottle.”
Decanter: “Cooked blackberries with a minty toothpaste accent and a touch of hung meat. Plenty of extract on the palate.”
James Suckling: “Creamy aromas of nougat and vanilla on top of ripe black and red cherries and cassis. A medium-to full-bodied red that’s nicely rounded by some fine-grained tannins, then finishes with juicy fruit. Cabernet sauvignon, syrah and malbec. Drink now.”
