Bel Ormeau

Les Herits Blaye Cotes de Bordeaux

Wine Type: Red Wine

Country: France

Region: Bordeaux

Grapes: 70% Merlot; 30% Cabernet Sauvignon

Winery Tasting Notes: Strong wood-ageing flavors dominate this young wine. These are backed by rich black fruits and fine, stylish tannins. With its acidity, structure and firm backdrop, the wine will age well. This one of three cuvees from Bel Ormeau. Dark color with purple-blue  tints. Pleasant fruity nose with spicy and roasted  coffee notes. Expressive attack on the palate. A  pleasant and easy to drink Bordeaux wine.

Food Pairings: Grilled red and white meat and soft  cheese.

Wine Enthusiast: ”In the same family for 10 generations, this estate has produced a wine from old vines. A blend of Merlot with 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, it is dominated by bright fruit. It is juicy and fresh, with potential richness and a full aftertaste. Drink from 2024.”
