Alsace Pinot Noir

Wine Type: Red Wine

Country: France

Region: Alsace

Grapes: 100% Pinot Noir

Tasting Notes: This wine shows two essential Pinot traits: a lightness of color combined with a wildness of aroma. Wild strawberry, sous bois, some nutty oak; all these scents are typical, yet it is their nimbleness and sense of abandon that impress, notes leaping from the glass without having to be prompted. In the mouth, flavors are fresh and crunchy with red fruits and a sappy, mouthwatering acid line. Body is light and flavors remain bright as the wine moves through an increasingly textural back palate. Tannins edge in here, lightly grainy, scatting over the tongue like delicately applied seasoning.

Food Pairings: Perfectly paired with game dishes, prime rib, roast lamb, pizza, and so much more.

International Wine Report: “A light, fresh style, with aromas of strawberries, raspberries and cranberries woven together with spices and mineral nuances. On the palate this is medium-bodied, with nice overall balance that is underlined by a touch of acidity and a finish framed by red fruit and spicy notes.”
