About The Producer: Bonaventura Maschio is a family distillery with over a century of history across five generations. From great grandfather Antonio to the present Sole Director Italo, along with his son Andrea and daughter Anna, they continue the company’s tradition. It is a business that has always sought and found in hard work, study and research, and strict quality control, the true expression of essential and authentic values.

With the Maschio family, whole generations of viticulturists, distillers, and oenologists grew up and were educated. Every individual shares his own experience, driving quality and innovation.

About the Product: “Erbe e spezie” is the Amaro that stems from Prime Uve Nere, Bonaventura Maschio’s most meditative grape distillate with its spicy and toasty notes, a result of aging in wood. And spices are indeed the scents that characterize Amaro Bonaventura “Erbe e Spezie” the most. The very territory of which this Amaro is an expression, the region of Venice, has long been a crossroad of cultures, of eastern merchants and their opulence, of scents and flavors pouring in from all over the world. The spicy side of its complex structure is firmly backed by cinnamon, vanilla and tonka beans. The bitter side counts gentian, cinchona, clary sage and bitter orange; fennel and caraway, known as Persian cumin, add a delicate balsamic touch.
