Negretti

Barolo Mirau DOCG

Wine Type: Red Wine

Country: Italy

Region: Piemonte

Grapes: 100% Nebbiolo

Tasting Notes: A balanced complexity between red and black fruits, winter cherry and white flesh, spicy notes and face power. This is the nose of this Barolo, which was born from the encounter of different Cru of the property. Intriguing and fresh in the mouth, it guides the taste among its elegant tannins and mineral flavor with great style.

Food Pairings: Grilled meats, mature cheeses

James Suckling: “Aromas of coffee, orange peel and dried flower petals follow through to a medium to full body with firm, chewy tannins that are fine-grained and polished. Needs time to soften. Better after 2023.”

Decanter: ”Intense raspberry and rose petal nose. Supple attack, silky and poised, creamy without heaviness, and there are sufficient tannins to give structure and texture. Ethereal and complex with a long, spicy finish. Still youthful but great potential here.”

Wine Enthusiast: “Eucalyptus, leather and black-skinned berry form nose. The full-bodied, balanced palate delivers black cherry, licorice, and tobacco alongside fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity.”
