Sasso del Falco

Chianti Classico DOCG

Wine Type: Red Wine

Country: Italy

Region: Toscana

Grapes: 100% Sangiovese

Winery Tasting Notes: Intense ruby red color with purple hues. On the nose there are notes of raspberries, sour cherries, hazelnuts and lemons. On the palate, it is spicy and chocolatey with dark cherries and red fruits. Mineral and fresh with fine tannins and a juicy finish.

Winemaking: Fermentation at a controlled temperature of 28 degrees Celsius with 10 days maceration with skins. Aged 85% in Slavonian oak casks for 12 months, 15% in French oak barriques for 12 months. Aged at least 3 months in bottle.

James Suckling: “Attractive nose of dark cherries, chocolate, mild spices and hints of dried leaves. Juicy, savory and tense won the palate, with a medium body and steady acidity. Needs a little more concentration and volume, but it’s fresh and poised overall. Drink now.”
